From the Pulpit:

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him, shall not perish, but shall have eternal life."

Greetings, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ! The month of February is upon us once again! This is always a very special month in the life of Church because of the multi-ple events that will take place. First, February is Black History Month-which gives us an awe-some opportunity to place a greater emphasis on the accomplishments and acheivements of notable African-Americans, past and present. Second, February is often celebrated as the month of "LOVE" because of St. Valentine's Day. We will once again emphasis the "Agape" (unconditional Love of God) during our "Annual Show Your Love Sunday" to be held on Sunday, February 10th during our 7:30 and 10:30AM worship experiences. We are asking all Galileans and friends to invite at least three (3) individuals that you love to worship with you and wear red on that Sunday. This is a form of evangelism, outreach, and fellow-ship. Third, February 12th is our Leading Lady Tamara T. Scott's birthday. We plan to have a Leading Lady's Appreciation Day on Sat. Feb. 9th at 2PM sponsored by the Galilee Women's Ministry, but men are invited to attend as well! If Minister Scott has impacted your life in some small way during the short time of our tenure here at Galilee, please come by and show your love! Fourth, we will be hosting the Community-Wide "Spiritual Awakenings Revival" on February 11-13 with guest preacher, Pastor Bertrand Bailey of Texas. Fifth, and finally, February is always the time when our men come together for encouragement, empowerment, and enlightenment during the 2013 Annual Men's Conference, which I'm sure will be a bless-ing to the entire church family. Let's not forget that our mission is the advance the Kingdom of God through our Worship, Word, and Witness! God bless you and may God bless The Galilee Baptist Church!

Yours in Christ,
